WhatsApp embedded signup
This reference article provides a step-by-step walkthrough for the WhatsApp embedded signup workflow in Braze.
The WhatsApp embedded signup workflow is accessed when you first integrate WhatsApp into your Braze workspace, and when you add a WhatsApp Business account to an existing WhatsApp integration.

note
You can add multiple WhatsApp Business Accounts to a Braze workspace. However, each specific WhatsApp Business Account can be added to only one Braze workspace.
Accessing the workflow
Go to Partner Integrations > Technology Partners, then search for and select WhatsApp. Your next selection depends on your use case:
- If you’re integrating WhatsApp into your workspace, select Begin Integration.

- If you’re adding a WhatsApp Business account to an existing WhatsApp integration, select Add WhatsApp Business Account.

The workflow from here is the same for both use cases.

- On the Meta (Facebook) login window, select Login as or Continue.

- Read the permissions that you’ll share with Braze, then select Get Started.

- On this screen, set the following, then select Next:
- In the Business portfolio dropdown, select your business portfolio. This connects to your WhatsApp Business account, so if you don’t see your expected business portfolio, check your permissions.
- In the WhatsApp business account field, select Create a new WhatsApp Business Account, including when you’re adding another WhatsApp Business account to your workspace or when that account already exists in Meta. Choose this option instead of selecting an existing WhatsApp Business account from the dropdown.

- Select the following for the dropdown fields, then select Next.
- Choose a WhatsApp Business account: Create a WhatsApp business account
- Create or select a WhatsApp Business profile: Create a new WhatsApp business profile

- Provide the following, then select Next.
- WhatsApp business account name
- WhatsApp business display name
- Category

- Enter your phone number and choose either Text message or Phone call. For a new number, the number must meet WhatsApp’s phone number requirements, including not being registered to another WhatsApp account. If you’re migrating an existing number (see step 3) and Meta shows that the number is already in use, continue past the warning to finish migration.

- Enter your two-factor authentication code, then select Next.

- Review the permissions that your WhatsApp Business account will receive, then select Continue.

- You’re done!
