Braze Named One of Inc. Magazine’s 2020 Best Workplaces

Jessica Bartlett By Jessica Bartlett May 6, 2020

Over the past two months, our lives changed dramatically—and it happened very quickly. Our leadership team worked tirelessly to prepare, but we also knew we needed to remain adaptable, and couldn’t anticipate every challenge we would face. Today, our employees are trying to balance their personal and professional lives in their homes in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. While it hasn’t been easy, we’ve been incredibly inspired by how the team at Braze has come together to support each other, not only as (more than 500) colleagues, but as human beings. It’s our people and our culture that has allowed us to persevere. We’ve truly built something special here and I am honored to be part of it.

At Braze, we’re constantly working to ensure our organization is a welcoming, accepting, and positive place to work. We’re proud that this effort, which is at the core of our values, has led to Braze being named one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2020, for the second year in a row. This award is a testament to all that we’ve accomplished and shines a spotlight on the most valuable part of Braze: Our team.

This year, Inc. reviewed applications from thousands of companies hoping to be recognized as one of the best workplaces in the United States. According to Inc., only a small fraction of applicants were selected (around 300), showcasing the truly extraordinary measures by Braze to attract, retain, and develop its team.

At Braze, our employees are behind everything we do. It’s our people that build our products, sell them, service them, and help us run a successful business. We know it’s critical to provide them with a safe and positive workplace where each individual feels welcomed and included in order to empower them to do their best work and achieve their professional goals. It’s essential that each and every employee feels heard and respected. Over the past two years, we’ve made those efforts a central priority, leading to an increased focus on employee wellness, personal and professional development, and organization-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives. These efforts—which included overhauling the Braze approach to employee recruitment, organizing employee cultural outings highlighting diverse voices, and encouraging thoughtful community engagement and charitable giving—are the foundation that keeps our company culture strong even in the midst of today’s global health crisis.

All of this wouldn’t be possible without the involvement of the many committed and passionate individuals across the organization. To the Braze team: Your dedication to this company is so important, and the way you show up every day for each other and our customers makes Braze an amazing place to work. Thank you for all that you do.

Braze is still in the fortunate position to be hiring and we have evolved our interview process to keep employees and applicants safe. To learn more about open roles and what we do here, visit our careers page.
