Braze Announcements

Braze Recognized as a Top Workplace for Women by Fortune and Great Place to Work

By Jackie Franklin and Regan Wilson Sep 27, 2022

Today, we’re proud to announce that Braze has been recognized as one of the 2022 Best Small and Medium Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE. This is our first time making the list, coming in at #7 out of 25.

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place to Work® analyzed the survey responses of over 640,000 women who work for Great Place to Work-Certified companies that employ at least 50 women. Companies must also have at least 20% of non-executive managers who are women, and at least one woman executive. The results measure the differences in women’s survey responses to those of their peers, assessing the impact of demographics and roles in the quality and consistency of women’s experiences. Great Place to Work® also analyzes the gender balance of each workplace, how it compares to each company’s industry, and patterns in representation as women rise from front-line positions to the board of directors.

Braze recognizes the essential role that women play in supporting our organization’s success, but we’re also aware that while many of us have ambitious career goals, we’re all much more than what we do on the job. Through our organized, active employee resource group (ESG) Elle, we generate dozens of opportunities for women to learn and grow together each quarter. This includes creating a robust mentorship program, hosting panel discussions with influential women, offering personal safety training, conducting book clubs, and organizing community-building and philanthropic events. Additionally, company-provided benefits serve women at all stages of their lives: Tuition reimbursement, fertility assistance, financial planning guidance, career coaching, and industry-leading growing family and caregiver leave policies.

“Braze offers me the flexibility to manage my busy personal life without sacrificing career growth opportunities. I’ve been with Braze for a year and a half. In that time, I’ve been promoted and began managing a team. I don’t have to hide the fact that I’m a mother. In fact, it’s recognized and celebrated!” - Regan Wilson, Manager, People Relations

“Braze has been a place where I can grow in my career and also have the opportunity to help women do the same through the valuable programming we do with Elle.” - Jackie Franklin, Senior Strategic Business Consultant

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our employees, who collectively shape our workplace culture by living our values of curiosity, inclusivity, and embracing our shared humanity. We also recognize the conversation around inclusivity for women at Braze is a work in progress. While we are incredibly proud of this honor and all of our efforts to earn this distinction, we know there is still much work that needs to be done in order to create an equal workplace for all.
