Each month, Braze selects one individual as our Marketer of the Month in order to celebrate the exceptional work being done by members of our Braze Bonfire community. Whether it's providing support for their fellow marketers or going above and beyond by sharing their innovative ideas and strategies, these individuals are making essential contributions to their companies, their users, and the customer engagement space as a whole.
This month, we’re recognizing Myles Bennett, Senior Promotions Specialist at PrizePicks. PrizePicks remains on a mission to create shareable prediction games centered around the sports and culture events that fans love. We spoke to Myles about his background and what they’re working on at PrizePicks. Let’s dive in.
Tell us about yourself.
I'm currently the Senior Promotions Specialist at PrizePicks, where I get to work on the Promotions Campaign team and help lead our promotional strategy.
Honestly, PrizePicks found me. I've always been an avid sports fan, and I was looking for a way to add another layer of excitement to watching games, that's where PrizePicks came in. I didn't miss an NFL Sunday without a lineup in. Being the ambitious person I am, I decided to check out the careers page just to see what was out there, and with a little bit of luck, I joined the team in 2023.
Over the past three years, I've grown into a specialist in member engagement, reinvestment strategy, and member segmentation. I've learned so much about retention marketing along the way, and I still show up every day with an open mind to keep learning more.

Who from your team uses Braze on a day-to-day basis?
There are actually a handful of teams that touch Braze daily. On my team specifically, we split Braze into two sectors: Lifecycle and Promotion Campaigns.
On the Lifecycle side, the team triggers CRM messaging based on member activity, using Braze's User Journeys to make every touchpoint feel personalized rather than generic.
On Promotion Campaigns, we're always looking at member engagement and asking how we keep members coming back daily. We run a weekly promotions playbook and build Braze Canvases that hit every messaging touchpoint along the way.
Have you taken any of the Braze certification exams?
Yes, I hold three Braze certifications: Braze Certified Practitioner, Braze Certified Marketer, and Braze Data Management.
Big shoutout to the Braze learning tool for most of what I know about CRM, retention marketing, and user journeys. It's built with real-world scenarios you can bet you'll run into in your day-to-day job. On top of that, the tool is constantly refreshed and updated to keep pace with how marketers are adapting, it never feels stale.
What initiative or campaign are you most excited to work on this year?
I'm most excited about our NFL kickoff campaign. In our industry, NFL Kickoff is one of, if not the, biggest campaign of the year, and this year feels bigger than ever. We've got exciting product updates on the way that we can't wait to share and put to work reinvesting in our members. It's shaping up to be a true company-wide effort: Promotions, Lifecycle, Organic CRM, Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Paid Media, Creative, and Social Media all rowing in the same direction to make this the most connected, most rewarding NFL season we've delivered yet.
When the whole company shows up behind one moment like this, you can feel the difference in the final product, and that's exactly what keeps me energized about this one.
What is one campaign or initiative you have worked on in the last 1-4 months that you’re most proud of?
The campaign I'm most proud of was bringing back one of PrizePicks' most-loved promotions: Flex Friday.
Originally, Flex Friday gave members protection on their lineup if it lost. Last year, that changed, the campaign kept the Flex Friday name, but the promotion shifted to a boost on your lineup only if you won.
That change didn't resonate with our members, and we heard about it for a full year across every marketing platform we had. So this past June 5th, it took real cross-team collaboration to bring back the fan-favorite version, the "OG" Flex Friday, protection on your lineup if it loses.
The response was immediate. Members noticed right away, our social channels lit up with love for the comeback, and the KPIs came in well above what we expected. It was a great reminder that listening to your members and being willing to course-correct is its own kind of winning strategy.
