We’re thrilled to announce that Appboy has raised $7.6 Million in Series A funding!
It’s a great validation of both the team we have put together and Appboy’s world-class product. Our financing round was led by Icon Venture Partners, with participation from IDG Ventures and Mike Lazerow, CEO of Buddy Media (now Salesforce Marketing Cloud). Appboy’s existing investors also participated – Blumberg Capital, T5 Capital, Bullpen Capital and Accelerator Ventures.
In the last year, the Appboy team has grown to 30 people; they are our best asset and the smartest and most innovative people in mobile. Our revenue has also increased four fold, and we’re now serving more than 1,000 clients, including Text+ and Urban Outfitters. This is progress!
With our new financing, we will grow our sales and marketing team, expand our product offerings and, most importantly, serve our clients better.

We’re also introducing our Success Squad – a dedicated team of mobile experts that helps customers make the most of Appboy. These experts have a wealth of industry experience and will guide you in creating highly-targeted, personal and scalable engagement campaigns.
