NEW YORK, July 29, 2025 — Braze (Nasdaq: BRZE), the leading customer engagement platform that empowers brands to Be Absolutely Engaging™, today announced the release of its fourth annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. This year’s report showcases continued commitment to driving meaningful climate action and building stronger communities.
“At Braze, we believe that meaningful impact comes from the collective efforts of our people, our customers, and our communities,” said Rod McLeod, VP of Social Impact at Braze. “Our social impact work reflects a deep commitment to building a more equitable and sustainable future. We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made and look forward to continuing this work alongside our employees and partners around the world.”
The report's key initiatives and accomplishments include:
Environment: Near-term emissions reduction targets were approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), reinforcing the company’s commitment to science-based climate action, as well as continued progress in its climate strategy through a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) supporting the development of five new solar facilities in Michigan. These facilities are expected to produce 1,600 MWh of renewable energy annually, helping to avoid approximately 3,800 metric tons of CO₂ emissions over five years.
Social: Braze has now surpassed more than $2.9 million in community investments since 2022. These grants have been distributed to over 150 nonprofits globally through the Braze for Social Impact Fund at the Tides Foundation, with 86% of all grants directed by Braze employees in FY’25.
Braze also expanded its customer impact initiatives through the Tech for an Equitable Future product grant program and Charitable-Giving Canvas Templates. As part of Tech for an Equitable Future, the company partnered with Braze customer BET+ to provide participating founders with tailored mentorship, marketing guidance, and brand-building expertise. Braze also introduced Charitable-Giving Canvas Templates, which are fully customizable, pre-built campaign flows that allow brands to launch donation efforts quickly and effectively. Whether it's matching donations, pledging a percentage of sales, or raising awareness, these templates streamline campaign setup so marketers can focus on impact and customer engagement
Governance: Braze continued to advance its strong governance practices, maintaining its ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, and HIPAA compliance for the fifth consecutive year. These certifications underscore the company’s commitment to privacy, security, and compliance. Braze also upheld its Vendor Code of Conduct, which promotes ethical sourcing and accountability throughout its supply chain.
