Braze Named to 2019 Forbes Cloud 100 List for Second Straight Year
Over the last decade, the rise of smartphones and other mobile devices has transformed the ways that brands interact with their customers. As the amount of customer data available to marketers has grown and the number of channels for engaging customers has expanded, we’ve seen brands increasingly move away from legacy solutions and toward a new generation of cloud-based marketing technologies. These build-for-purpose products are capable of providing brand experiences that are more responsive, relevant, and human-scale.
Braze has long been at the foreground of this new wave of technologies. In keeping with that position, we’re pleased to announce that Braze has been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 for the second consecutive year.
The Forbes Cloud 100 ranks the top tier of private cloud companies from around the world, based on their market leadership, estimated valuation, operating metrics, people, and culture. Braze and our fellow selectees were chosen from a vast pool of eligible cloud-based businesses by a panel of CEOs representing publicly-traded cloud companies.
“For four years now, we have ranked the best and brightest emerging companies in the cloud sector,” said Alex Konrad, Forbes editor of the Cloud 100. “With so many businesses growing fast in the cloud, from cybersecurity and marketing to data analytics and storage, it’s harder than ever to make the Cloud 100 List—but [there’s] more elite company if you do.”
Increasingly, the foundation of today’s business environment is built on cloud computing. This makes it possible for brands to more easily serve a global customer base in a thoughtful, individually customized fashion—but it also makes it essential to ensure that the technologies these companies depend on are built to be able to scale effectively.
“It’s a real honor to be named to the Forbes Cloud 100 list for the second year in a row,” said Jon Hyman, Braze Cofounder and CTO. "Braze has grown to engage more than 1.8 billion monthly active users, sending up to 1.5 billion personalized messages every day on behalf of consumer brands. Cloud computing has made this massive scalability feat possible, all the way from our networking layer to our processing application layer. I'm proud of the technology we've built and the knowledge and dedication our employees bring to our customers.”
