Braze values our customers and champions the successful campaigns our platform helps create. Historically, we have shared strategies and discussed practical applications of Braze through speaker panels and consultations with our technical staff at our yearly Long Term Relationships (LTR) conference—now Forge.
Braze previously offered e-learning courses for people who wanted more technical guidance on how to navigate our interface. Upon feedback, we evolved our learning courses from providing foundational knowledge of Braze into a more sandbox learning environment where mastery of the Braze platform can be achieved. Braze now offers virtual, instructor-led courses for those who want to get into the nitty gritty of how successful campaigns are built using our dashboard.
PJ Bruno, our Client Education Manager, explains that “the core skills that make up a ‘marketer’ have changed. Marketers need to be technologists.” It is one thing to hear about key campaign achievements of other companies; it is another thing to learn about the technical back-end programming done in the Braze platform to achieve these results. “This next echelon of training is for the seeker, the scientist, the discoverer,” Bruno says. “It is made to arm people with the knowledge of our platform and the confidence to experiment with it. All great marketing comes from testing, testing, and more testing. This is where mastery happens.”
Braze courses will launch in May and will be four hours long. The courses will each consist of 15 people max to ensure that every participant’s questions are answered. Use case walkthroughs will take place in a safeguarded, sandbox environments so that participants can experiment with building and sending out campaigns without worrying about accidentally sending alerts to their customers. At the end of each course, participants will be rewarded with a Braze certificate that can be added to their LinkedIn profile.
The first topic we are tackling in our certificate program is personalization. A Braze expert will walk through real-life scenarios where practitioners would benefit from utilizing Liquid personalization in their campaigns. One study by Statista showed that 90% of US consumers value personalization in the messaging they receive. Using the Braze platform, campaigns can be hyper-personalized to include a recipient's name, time zone, and gender, in addition to many more personalization tags.
Personalization tags are useful when sending messages to customers about specific events and characteristics of their individual accounts. This can include a push notification of a customer’s current gift card balance, an in-browser message about a sale that just began in a person’s time zone, or an email notifying someone who frequently buys a certain brand that the brand is now 25% off. By learning how to make more effective use of personalization in your customer engagement campaigns, you’re taking key steps to ensure a better, more valuable user experience—and stronger long-term business results.
Our courses are for those itching to explore new ways to utilize our platform. By walking through various technical processes with participants, we are developing expert Braze practitioners. If you are ready to master the skills needed to create a robust and powerfully personalized campaign, register for a certificate course today!
