This month, we’re recognizing Joshua Smith, Group Marketing Manager - CRM Operations at Intuit Consumer Group. TurboTax, a product of Intuit, is the nation's leading tax preparation software, dedicated to delivering a suite of full service, assisted and DIY tax experiences so individuals and small businesses can navigate their tax filing with ease and confidence. We spoke with Joshua about his career path, his team at Intuit TurboTax, and using Braze. Let’s dive in!
I am currently the manager of the CRM operations team at Intuit within the Consumer Group, where we oversee the deployment of messages for the TurboTax brand. Interestingly, this is my second stint at Intuit, making me one of many employees who returned to the company. My career has also spanned higher education, consulting for nonprofits, and the gaming industry, where I've held roles in marketing, analytics, project/change management, and operations.
By far, my favorite part of my job is the people. First and foremost, the team I work with every day. They are extremely talented, dedicated, and amazing individuals. It's fun and exciting to watch and help them learn and grow, and it's fulfilling to learn so much from them every day. We work well as a team and drive incredible results—it's a privilege to be a part of that.
I’ve been using Braze since returning to Intuit in January 2021, having worked with various platforms across different companies and industries. During my time at Intuit, I have seen both our team and Braze grow tremendously.
My team is responsible for ensuring all of our customer messages are sent out. So, we all use Braze daily. We create, deploy, monitor, and analyze our campaigns and journeys from thethe platform every day.
Working with the Braze community and team has been one of the best experiences with the platform. The energy the Braze team brings to each problem has fueled our thinking, and the community has been an inspiration with their solutions and approaches to shared challenges.
