Change is a fact of life—but how companies approach and respond to that change can be the difference between success and failure over the long haul. At this year's SaaStr Europa, held on June 6-7 in London, Bill Magnuson, Cofounder and CEO at Braze, took the stage to explore how brands can meet and overcome today's challenges and set themselves up for stronger future performance.
SaaStr, the world's largest community of software as a service (SaaS) executives, founders, and entrepreneurs, is renowned for its commitment to helping SaaS companies scale to $100 million ARR. The organization's SaaStr Europa event gathers more than 3,000 venture capitalists, founders, and representatives of SaaS brands each June to network and share thought leadership and insights.
During his presentation, Bill spoke about how Braze achieved more than $400 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by taking a strategic approach to building their business and by identifying opportunities during challenging times. His session shed light on the current difficulties faced by startups, including financial market upheavals, global power shifts, uncertain economic indicators, and supply chain disruptions, and explored how brands can push forward to find ways to drive enduring business value.
“When change is happening, even if—surface-level—we look at it and it feels like negative change, there’s always opportunity in that," Bill told attendees. “The companies that are going to win are the ones that are going to actually predict what the change is leading to, and start building for that tomorrow right now.”
