Braze Adds AccuWeather and Microsoft to Partner Ecosystem

Team Braze By Team Braze Feb 27, 2018

Here at Braze, we practice what we preach.

We believe in the power of maintaining strong connections. We believe in the fiery potential that lies in sharing great conversations and experiences. We believe in the amazing depth of human relationships, and the immense value that could bring to brands everywhere. Every experience counts. Every boundary matters. These principles are a guiding light for the services we deliver to our clients.

The evidence is right in front of us. In 2017, we analyzed over 300 million user profiles over the course of three months and found that brands who speak to their customers like individuals, treating their messages with them as conversations across channels, increase their impact by up to 9x. That’s because they understand that clumsy engagement gets you nowhere (fast). Today’s customers aren’t short on options, and they don’t feel obligated to endure the torture of tone-deaf, batch-and-blast messaging. Ask yourself: would you stay loyal to a business that spams you all the time? It’s too easy to establish a better connection with a brand who’s actually willing to deliver experiences based on individual wants and needs.

In truth, it’s difficult to deliver these stellar brand experiences without having the right sets of data, teams, and technology at your disposal. As it stands, Braze already replaces decades-old databases that aren’t built to serve the needs of today’s on-demand, always-connected customer. Our modern stream processing approach allows for us to easily receive, manage, and act on massive amounts of data all at once. Our platform is also built for the easy integration of everyday SDKs. So, it was only right to expand our technology ecosystem in a way that would serve the deeply rooted needs of both our clients and their customers. Enter, our big news…

Earlier today at #MWC18, Braze CEO Bill Magnuson jumped on stage to reveal our latest move: We’re officially announcing partnerships with AccuWeather and Microsoft. This alliance represents a strategic set of integrations that will work to deliver even bolder, more powerful brand moments for our clients. We couldn’t be more excited! Here’s why:

  • AccuWeather tracks global weather and delivers commercial forecasting services worldwide. Its software provides up-to-the-minute weather conditions, both in the moment and in the future. Braze clients will now be able to use this dynamic weather content to create relevant messaging experiences across channels. For instance, an eCommerce client will be able to send daily morning style recommendations based on local weather. A travel company client can use snowfall in the Alps as an opportunity to prompt customers to book a ski trip. Cool, right?
  • Microsoft powers Azure, a set of cloud services that developers and IT professionals use to build, deploy, and manage high-quality apps. It uses a global network of data centers to support brands in efficiently building anything from simple mobile apps to internet-scale solutions. This integration will offer a new multi-cloud hosting option for our clients. We are also in active development for planned enhancements to Currents, our high-volume data exportation tool, which will include adding integrations directly into Microsoft Azure.

With these new partners in tech, Braze can widen our reach and inspire even deeper connections between brands and their customers. And how does this relate to what brands everywhere might be going through with their on-demand, always-on customers? Well, it’s all about human connection. Our dedication to establishing valuable relationships has driven us closer to technology and teams throughout our network, deepening our offering, and furthering our brand experience. And these new technology integrations are sure to result in all-new capabilities that’ll only make messaging stronger. How’s that for leading by example? 😌
