Delivering brilliant, real-time brand experiences to customers at scale is no easy feat. It requires a dedicated team, innovative approach, and—most importantly—a best-in-class tech ecosystem made up of built-for-purpose tools that seamlessly work together. At Braze, we continually strive to make things easier for our customers, whether it’s aligning with solutions partners or deepening relationships with technology partners.

Today, we’re excited to announce that Braze has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Retail Competency status. This classification recognizes the Braze platform’s ability to ensure secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient cloud infrastructure applications for retail customers. Braze has previously been recognized as an AWS Digital Customer Experience (DCX) Competency Partner for its strength in helping brands build authentic relationships with their audiences across channels and platforms.

“We’re proud of how our partnership with AWS has grown over the years to now include the distinction of being an AWS Retail Competency Partner,” said Jon Hyman, Braze Cofounder and CTO. “Leading retailers like Gap, Glossier, Overstock, and Urban Outfitters use Braze to exceed the ever-changing demands and expectations of today’s consumer. As the retail industry becomes increasingly competitive, it’s critical for brands to build stronger, more meaningful relationships with their customers.”

AWS Retail Competency Partners demonstrate technical proficiency and proven customer success across numerous innovative solution areas in retail spanning data lakes, AI/ML, voice, recognition, IoT, microservices, and retail transformation. In order to receive this special designation, Braze was required to undergo rigorous validation by AWS in order to ensure alignment with AWS best practices for the retail space.

“We’ve seen tremendous results in driving stronger email and push open rates, engagement, and conversions through leveraging Braze built on AWS to improve our message targeting and personalization,” said Paul Ford, Senior Product Manager at Overstock. “Braze built on AWS allows us to optimize our communications strategy quickly and effectively in order to build relevant and memorable experiences for our customers.”

As an AWS Retail Competency Partner, Braze is proud to help brands provide their customers with timely, relevant messaging experiences. As customer expectations rise, we’re right here supporting brands so they stay ahead of the curve.
