What is included in the Compliance Documentation?
The Compliance Documentation below sets forth specific terms applicable to your purchased product, channel, feature, functionality or service:
- For Braze Services functionality that allows customers to interact with, integrate with or access the product, website, application or service of a Third-Party Provider, the Compliance Documentation contains the Third-Party Provider terms applicable to your use of such functionality; and
- Any general industry practices and standards that Braze customers are required to comply with for the use of such Braze product, channel, feature, functionality or service.

Compliance Documentation for Specific Channels, Integrations, and Features
Below is the list of our products, channels, features, functionalities and services that have applicable Compliance Documentation. If you are using multiple products, all relevant Compliance Documentation applies.
General terms
Without limiting any Customer obligations under the Agreement, and for the avoidance of doubt, Customer shall be solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights, consents, and authorizations and providing legally adequate privacy notices in connection with its use and obtaining all legally required consents and authorizations for the use of the Channels and Features listed below.

1. Mobile Messages Channel
The following additional terms apply in relation to Customer’s use of the Mobile Messages Channel:
Definitions
“Aggregators”, “Carriers”, or “Mobile Messages Intermediaries” shall mean third-party intermediaries (i) that transmit Mobile Messages between Mobile Message Providers and Carriers; (ii) that are wireless service providers (e.g., T-Mobile, AT\&T, etc.); and/or (iii) that are involved in the transmissions of RCS Messages from Mobile Message Providers to End Users.
“SMS/MMS Providers” or “Mobile Messages Providers” shall mean Braze Sub-processors used in the transmission of SMS, MMS, and/or RCS Messages, as identified at www.braze.com/subprocessors.
“SMS/MMS Messages” or “Mobile Messages” shall mean SMS, MMS, and/or RCS Messages.
Applicable Industry Standards and Best Practices
When sending Mobile Messages, Customers must comply with the Mobile Messages Providers’ applicable acceptable use and messaging policies, applicable industry standards and guidelines, and where applicable, industry codes and applicable Mobile Messages Intermediaries guidelines for any country where Customer intends to send Mobile Messages, as set forth in more detail in Braze’s Acceptable Use Policy.
Third parties involved in the sending of Mobile Messages, including Mobile Messages Intermediaries, may impose fees or penalties based on Mobile Messages sent in violation of their terms or applicable laws. Customer is responsible for paying fees and penalties that result from Customer’s violation of such third-party terms, regardless of whether such fees or penalties are imposed on Customer or on Braze.
Sub-processors
Braze may use any Mobile Messages Provider that is included on its list of Sub-processors at www.braze.com/subprocessors.
Notwithstanding the above, in the event that Customer sends Mobile Messages using “Bring Your Own (BYO) SMS Connector” model, the Mobile Message Providers involved in the sending shall be deemed Third-Party Providers (as defined in the Agreement) and not Sub-processors of Braze, and the disclaimers below shall apply to such Third Party Providers.
Webhook Use Exception Terms
Applicable to Customers who have subscribed to Message Credits on or after December 9, 2024 (as per the Order Form Effective Date): the restrictions outlined in the Webhooks Channel Compliance Documentation do not apply to the use of webhooks for sending Mobile Messages through a Third Party Provider platform.
Bring Your Own (BYO) SMS Connector
Customers can send Mobile Messages from Braze using third-party providers through the “BYO SMS Connector” model. Notwithstanding the above, Customers shall not use the BYO SMS Connector model to send Mobile Messages to the US and Canada.
Disclaimers
Braze disclaims any representations, warranties, liability and indemnification obligations with regards to any Third-Party Provider or Mobile Messages Intermediaries involved in the sending or processing of Mobile Messages, including liability related to system capacity, message throughput, or actual delivery to an End User’s device.
2. Webhooks Channel
The following additional terms apply in relation to Customer’s use of the Webhooks Channel:
Webhooks Channel Use Terms
Unless otherwise permitted in the applicable Channel Compliance Documentation, (a) Customer shall not use webhooks where Braze offers native capabilities to achieve the same outcome, and (b) Customer shall not use a webhook to trigger the sending of any message through a Third-Party Provider platform to the extent Braze provides a native mechanism to send such messages through the Braze Services.
If Braze makes a new or updated mechanism generally available in the Braze Services during Customer’s current Subscription Term, then Customer will be prohibited from using webhooks to trigger Message sending through the specified Third-Party Platform as of six (6) months after the general release date of the new mechanism or at the end of the current year of the Customer’s Subscription Term, whichever is later.

Disclaimer
Braze disclaims all liability with regards to Customer’s use of webhooks to trigger the sending of any Message or any other actions outside of the Braze Services.
3. WhatsApp Channel Compliance Documentation
The following additional terms apply in relation to Customer’s use of the WhatsApp Channel:
Applicable Third-Party Provider Terms
Customer shall comply with any prerequisites, terms, and policies applicable to the WhatsApp Channel, including any terms required by WhatsApp, LLC and its group affiliates, as described in the Braze WhatsApp setup page.
Webhook Use Exception Terms
Customer may not use webhooks to trigger the sending of messages via the WhatsApp Channel unless it is for customer support purposes, such as human-assisted chat use cases and/or chatbot use cases.
Bring Your Own (BYO) Whatsapp Connector
Customers can connect their direct Whatsapp accounts with Braze using the “BYO Whatsapp Connector.
4. LINE Channel Compliance Documentation
The following additional terms apply in relation to Customer’s use of the LINE Channel:
Pre-requisites
To send Messages via the LINE Channel, customers must obtain a LINE Verified Official Account, which is approved and granted by LINE at its own discretion. Customers should ensure they obtain a Verified Official Account from LINE before purchasing Braze Message Credits for the use of the LINE Channel.
Applicable Third-Party Provider Terms
By using the LINE Channel, Customer agrees to comply with and be bound by, as applicable, all terms and policies required by LY Corporation, and its affiliates, (collectively “LINE”) including, without limitation, LINE Official Account Terms of Use, Official Account API Terms of Use, LINE Official Account Guidelines LINE User Data Policy, and any policies, terms, guidelines, and documentation incorporated by reference thereto (collectively, the “LINE Terms”). For the sake of clarity, Customer is responsible for: (i) ensuring that any data processed in connection with LINE is processed in accordance with the LINE Terms as applicable; and (ii) any fees or payments due to LINE for the use of the LINE services in connection with the LINE Channel.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the LINE Terms, Customer remains primarily liable for its use of the LINE services.
5. Shopify Integration Compliance Documentation
The following additional terms apply in relation to Customer’s use of Shopify integration in connection with the Braze Services (“Shopify Integration”):
Customer agrees to comply with and be bound by any applicable terms and conditions, policies, guidelines, and documentation of the Shopify Inc. or any of its Affiliates (“Shopify”) applicable to the use of the Shopify Integration.
Customer acknowledges that Shopify may at any time and at its sole discretion: (i) require that Braze disable or block Customer’s access to the Shopify Integration; or (ii) stop providing, suspend or terminate Customer’s access to the Shopify Integration. Braze shall have no responsibility with regards to Shopify ceasing to provide access to the Shopify Integration to Customer or through the Braze Services generally.
6. Audience Sync Compliance Documentation {audience-sync-compliance-documentation}
The following additional terms apply to Customer’s use of Audience Sync.
Applicable Third-Party Provider Terms
Customer agrees to comply with and be bound by any applicable terms and conditions, policies, guidelines, and documentation of the Third-Party Providers that Customer utilizes in connection with any Audience Sync integrations.
Customer acknowledges that Third-Party Providers may review, screen, and/or remove any data, ads, or content used in connection with their services.
7. Message Archiving and Field Level Encryption Compliance Documentation
Disclaimer
Customer acknowledges that the use of Message Archiving and/or Field Level Encryption (each, the “Feature”) may impact the send speed of Messages sent through the Braze Services. Braze shall not be liable for any such impact, and any send speed commitments shall not apply where Customer is using the Feature. The Feature may be used to support Customer’s compliance efforts, however Customer acknowledges that Braze makes no representations or warranties with respect to whether or not use of the Feature itself satisfies Customer’s compliance obligations, and disclaims all liability in relation thereto.
8. Agent Console Compliance Documentation
LLM Providers as Sub-processors or Third Party Providers
Where Customer uses an integration with a large language model provided by Braze through the Braze Auto option in the Braze Services (“Braze-provided LLM”), the provider of such a Braze-provided LLM will be acting as a Braze Sub-processor, subject to the terms of the Data Processing Addendum (DPA) between Customer and Braze.
If Customer chooses to bring their own API key to integrate with Braze AI functionality, the provider of Customer’s own LLM subscription will be considered a Third Party Provider, as defined in the contract between Customer and Braze.
